Rachel's House

Rachel’s House is a Christian ministry dedicated to offering free and confidential services in a loving environment to women in unplanned and crisis pregnancy situations. We strive to help women in these situations make life-affirming decisions about their unborn children.

The Refuge

The Refuge serves five rural counties: Toombs, Treutlen, Montgomery, Emanuel and Wheeler. The Refuge is a non-profit non-denominational organization that provides a safe emergency shelter and comprehensive services to victims and their children hurt by domestic violence and sexual

assault.

FORGE Recovery Center

Forge is an in-patient recovery center that exists to restore men to freedom, hope, and purpose. Our 12-step program is designed to help men (18 years of age and older) who suffer from addiction, both chemical and behavioral. Our program is a 12-24 month community-based program that is focused on returning men to their families and society as productive and contributing members of their communities. 

Vaca Mission Support

The Vaca's are a missionary family that Vidalia First UMC has supported for years. Laura and Jorge Vaca serve the World Gospel Mission (WGM). Laura was the director of Taylor Christian School, which provided a quality Christian education for children in the Rio Grande Valley. Unfortunately, the school was shut down as a consequence of COVID 19. Jorge is the field director for Texas/Mexico Border Ministries, teaches soccer and ministers to the children he coaches.

The Mercy Ministries

TMM changes lives by providing healthcare services to over 600 chronically ill, uninsured, low-income adults in South Ga. at our two clinic locations in Lyons and Graham through 3 areas of work: transformation of heart, health, and home.

Rise Against Hunger

From the implementation of sustainable community development projects to our meal packaging program that harnesses the passion of local volunteers, we strive to make an impact on hunger by building resilience, self-sufficiency and empowerment in communities worldwide.

God’s Storehouse

Local food & clothing ministry that distributes free food monthly to over 250 families in the county. Bible studies are held in the mornings and everyone attending receives a hot meal afterward. They provide free clothing as well as furniture and household items first come, first served.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. The ministry began in 1865, currently serving in 130 countries and assist approximately 23 million Americans annually.

Dream Center

Dream Center Vidalia is a drug and alcohol residential treatment program for women. We want to create a positive spiritual environment where ladies can feel safe and secure to begin the healing/disciplining process in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Paul Anderson Youth Home

The Paul Anderson Youth Home in Vidalia, Georgia is a Christ-centered, fully licensed and accredited home offering a second chance to young men since 1961. The Home focuses on helping transform the lives of troubled young men and their families from all over the country, meeting them at their point of need, and providing a Christian home environment in which they can rebuild their broken lives through a process of recovery, restoration, and redemption.

Red Bird Mission

Red Bird Mission, Inc. and Red Bird Clinic, Inc. have been providing ministries in this region of the Appalachian Mountains since 1921. Today the need remains critical in this isolated, rural distressed area. Chronic poverty, lack of jobs, poor housing, and rugged mountainous terrain provide obstacles to a fuller life for the residents of this area. Red Bird Mission and Clinic strives to meet these needs through ministry in five areas: Education, Health and Wellness, Community Outreach, Economic Opportunity, and Community Housing Improvement.

El Shaddai’s Refuge

El Shaddai’s Refuge, Inc. is a Men’s Addiction Recovery Ministry for individuals who find themselves in need of help, at a state of brokenness – often having suffered from Drug and/or Alcohol addiction – and ready to encounter El Shaddai, the One who alone can fill any need they have, turning brokenness into wholeness. Many residents may have completed a rehabilitation program and are simply unable to return home since that is where the problem began. Our ministry offers a ¾ environment solution and alternative for those who are ready to live life on life’s terms but still seek a structured and safe environment. We also offer a solution for those just starting the recovery journey. We are a 9 -18 month program. We offer Christian faith-based and 12-step activities.

GA Southern Wesley Foundation

The Wesley Foundation at Georgia Southern is a ministry of the United Methodist Church. We know that you are looking for your place on campus and in the world. For that to happen, you need a community of people who care about you. The problem is that the busyness of life on campus can make you feel isolated and alone. At Wesley, we believe God made us for relationships. We care about who you are and don’t want you to feel alone which is why we have been helping students find a relationship with God and connect in community for more than 60 years.

Unto The Least of His

Unto the Least of His ministry helps support those that are over-looked and forgotten, the least. Through this ministry, director Rev. Bobby Gale has had a global impact in 25 different countries on 4 different continents and he continues his ministry locally, nationally and internationally. He has helped people who are poor to have a clean drink of water in Uganda, Ghana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mexico, Honduras, Panama and Kenya. Bobby has a heart for seeing the captives set free by Word and deed.

Sweet Onion Christian Learning Center

We make disciples that make disciples through offering Biblical education in the public schools in our community. We seek to accomplish this task by offering Biblical Discipleship Courses to public school students during the school day for elective credit under the authority of the Released Time

Education Act. We are a privately funded ministry that does NOT charge our students tuition because we want ALL students to have a chance to receive a Biblical education regardless of cost! We could use your help if you'd like to financially partner with us. This is for Vidalia, Toombs and Montgomery County students.

Global Education Ministries

GEM exists to plant the gospel in the hearts of children and their families, all over the world, through quality education. The schools created by GEM are private schools, but are affordable for every child that attends. GEM’s primary goal is to use education to share the good news of Jesus in gospel-saturated schools for the glory of God.
