There’s a first time for everything – and questions are a normal and natural part of any new experience. We created this page to answer some questions you might have and to help you feel more comfortable about your first trip to Vidalia Cornerstone Church.
What should I expect?
When you come to Vidalia Cornerstone, you will find a church that is passionate about worshiping the Lord. You will see a church that is committed to serving God’s people through missions. And with a variety of discipleship ministries, we hope you will see that we take seriously Jesus’ command for his disciples to continue in His word (John 8:31-32). The greeters and ushers in the worship services are friendly and there to help you if you have questions but we will never intrude. Our primary goal is to help people connect with God who is the source of all peace and strength and life! Our staff and membership would be happy to talk to you if you have specific questions about what to expect. Visit our staff page for email links for each staff member, call the church office at 912-537-3068 or submit a request for more information here.
What if I’ve never been to church before?
Don’t let that keep you away. There was a first Sunday for all of us! Our ushers and greeters are there to help you. Those that lead the services will explain the various parts of the service. Join in on the parts of the service you feel comfortable with, or just sit, watch and listen if you prefer.

Where do I park?
Parking is available in a large parking lot on 2nd Street behind the Activity Center. Limited parking is available in front of the Sanctuary and church buildings on Church Street, beside the Sanctuary on 2nd Street, and several parallel spaces directly behind the Activity Center and in front of Cornerstone Children's Center. We ask that spaces immediately adjacent to the church be saved for older adults or others who may have difficulty walking longer distances. Thank you!
Is there a nursery? What about my older children?
Children are wanted and welcomed in worship at Vidalia Cornerstone. They are welcome to join you in worship or attend one of the activities geared for their age during our 9 AM and 11 AM services. We have fun programs for your kids that we think they’ll love! A nursery is provided for children under 3. If your infant or small child needs care during the service, you may leave and return as you wish and feel free to ask an usher for assistance. Our Safe Sanctuary Policy includes the screening of all staff and volunteers, as well as sign in/sign out procedures and Emergency Contact forms on file.
What should I wear?
You’ll see people wearing their “Sunday best” or “business casual” clothes to worship, but there’s no dress code. You’ll also see people in khakis, jeans, and tee shirts. How long are the services? The 9 AM service usually last about 50 minutes. The 11:00 AM service usually ends at noon or a few minutes after.
How can I join the VCC family?
You will find a warm welcome! Simply speak to our pastor at the end of any service or contact him at your convenience.
